Things that expire warn you before they expire
Contracts, insurance, certificates and permits expired unnoticed until somebody needed them. They now warn at 60, 30 and 7 days, to the person who can actually renew them.

Context
- Expiry dates lived in a spreadsheet somebody updated when they remembered.
- The warning arrived when somebody needed the document and found it had lapsed.
The problem
- An expired certificate can stop a job or cost a fine, and it gives no warning.
- A spreadsheet remembers nothing: you have to look at it, and nobody does.
What I did
- A single register of documents with an expiry date and an assigned owner.
- Staggered warnings at 60, 30 and 7 days, each to whoever can renew it rather than to a generic list.
- Escalation to management if it reaches 7 days unrenewed.
- A dashboard of what expires this quarter, readable at a glance.
Result
- No expiry depends any more on somebody remembering to check the sheet.
- Renewals happen with room to spare, not the day before.
